What is eCMR aka. digital waybill aka. digiCMR aka. e-waybill?
The e-waybill refers to the electronic shipment document used for exchanging regulatory information related to freight transport and logistics among economic operators and competent authorities. It is a confirmation of existing “Transport Agreement” between cargo owner and carrier and can be in format of eCMR, eAWB, eB/L or eCIM/eSMGS, depending of the transport modes.
The e-waybill, as part of the eFTI framework, contains a set of electronic data elements that are processed and exchanged electronically.

What is eFTi-gate
The eFTI Regulation aims to standardize the exchange of freight transport information within the European Union. The eFTI Gate is common access point that facilitates the exchange of standardized eFTI data subsets between different entities, such as Economic Operators, eFTI Service providers and national or regional authorities. It allows for the generation and transmission of unique shipment identifiers (eFTI identifiers, like waybills) that enable the tracking and monitoring of freight transport activities. It provides a standardized approach to accessing and sharing relevant transport data between different stakeholders, ensuring efficient and near real-time communication and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
