You have questions, we have answers!

What are the benefits of electronic consignment notes, anyway?

eCMRs are set to play a crucial role in the logistics sector, making it smoother, more transparent and resource-optimal.

The latest information – The eCMR allows all parties to see the latest status of the consignment note and all the operations carried out on it, with time stamps, throughout the process.

Accessibility – The fact that the eCMR is accessible to all parties at all times saves time that would otherwise be spent on shuffling paper documents. This means more time, money and opportunities for businesses to really drive their business forward.

Switching to eCMRs gives any company a strong competitive advantage in an already crowded market! Read more on our blog!

Is an eCMR a valid document for insurance purposes?

Yes! Compliance with the eFTI requirements and the CMR Convention means that a consignment note is seen as legitimate by of both insurance companies and government authorities.

Of course, we work every day to implement Mobile-ID, Smart-ID and other digital signature solutions into the apps.

Can we use your solutions separately?

Absolutely!
If your company already have some sort of TMS in use for example, but you are in need for a eCMR or CO2 calculator, then our solutions are easily to be set up & independent from one and another.

What if our customers don’t use these apps?

No problem.

They will still have access to the eCMR. We will send an email to all parties when the eCMR is generated. The driver can also share the document by displaying a QR code on his mobile device that links to the consignment note.

CMRs aren’t the only documents that accompany freight shipments. There’s a wide range of other documents as well. Will these have to be in hardcopy?

No, there’s no need for paper documents when they are also available in digital format.

With an eCMR, you can include all kinds of digital documents, pictures, video files, and much more.... They are also instantly available to all parties and can be added by each party in the application as needed.

What if something happens to the freight?

If a shipment is damaged, it can be easily flagged in the problem notifier app. A short comment is all that's needed, and you can include photos and video. All this is uploaded to a digital archive in the consignment note archive, accessible to all parties.

Note: Each party can also initiate the registration of problems via the app and add proof + comments.

How will my data be kept secure?

Application security is a top priority for us. We use Tietoevry servers located in Estonia. Tietoevry is certified according to ISO 27001, the internationally recognised standard for information security management systems, which ensures that administrative processes, technical measures and risk management meet the highest requirements.

Our platforms are secured with strong password protection and also enable Google Account-based authentication, providing users with additional convenience and protection.

Support for setting up an eCMR interface:
call for applications now open!

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications is investing €4.7 million into the digitalisation of the transport and logistics sector.

On 30 September 2024, the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EIS) launched a support measure for the development of digital solutions for the transport and logistics sector, which will enable companies to digitalise cross-border information exchange and save time and money on paperwork.

The eFTI (Electronic Freight Transport Information) Regulation, which will oblige authorities to accept electronic consignment notes, will enter into force across Europe in 2027. To make this happen, several e-services for transport documents have been set up in Estonia.

These e-services will replace paper documents.Transport and logistics companies can apply for support to connect their information systems and processes to the Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) platform, which will enable them to use electronic consignment notes (eCMRs).

The maximum amount of support is €15,000 and it can cover up to 90% of the eligible costs. The total budget of the action is €4.7 million, financed by the European Commission’s Recovery and Resilience Facility. https://eis.ee/toetused/e-veoselehe-liidestamise-toetus/#anchor-2
